Open Carry Arrest, Part II

Well, it looks like the DA is giving this man the runaround. Discussion on this starts on Page 8, about halfway down.

Wouldn't it be great if there was some sort of recourse for this action? The offending officers should be suspended with pay while they are retrained in the legalities of Open Carry (while what they did amounts to theft, they were trained that OC is DC, and while ignorance of the law is no defense, I am willing to give cops a second chance), the DA should be docked a month's pay (he knows exactly what he is doing, and he should be punished for his actions) and this man's firearm and all accessories should be returned immediately.

edit: With a hat tip to David, I will add the caveat that this has not been independantly verified, though I have no reason to doubt that this occured as reported by the involved party.
