...on his rediculous thoughts on Open Carry.
Clayton, you lose credibility when you say things like "It depends on your goals. If you want to win political battles, you don’t offend unnecessarily. If you want to express yourself, and don’t mind losing, then go ahead, open carry even when you don’t need to; it’s more important to express yourself than to win political struggles."
How the fuck is someone supposed to know when they NEED to carry? That's the point; preparedness for the unknown. You might be a good historian, but you are philosophically retarded.

I carry concealed. I'm 50 and had heart surgery, and I'm no where near fit enough to practice the weapons retention techniques I'd need to feel comfortable OC. It seems to me that this would also apply to many others I know who carry concealed. I feel therefore that I have a higher level of protection CC than OC.

It's literally impossible to walk around in daily life without offending people.
Certainly not a way I'd want to live. The lawful exercise of my rights might offend some people. That's their problem, not mine.
I wonder how he feels about Open Carry activists here in California, where CCW is damn near impossible AND we have a retarded Legislature committed to the ridiculous proposition of *self-expression* as political process. Sheesh.
OTOH with OC here you get self-expression AND a winning political struggle - people are doing it to make CCW more possible.
